Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect as little as possible. Browsing recipes and building the free single shopping list need no account and stay on your device — an account only comes into play when you go Premium.

1. What we collect

Anonymous usage data — aggregated, non-identifying analytics about which pages and features are used, to improve the product.
Things you give us — your email if you subscribe to the recipe newsletter; and, when you go Premium, the account details and payment info needed to run a subscription (payment is handled by our payment provider — see below).
On-device data — your free plans, checklists, and preferences are stored in your browser (localStorage), not uploaded to us.

2. How we use it

To run and improve the service, to send the newsletter you asked for, and to manage Premium subscriptions. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Stored on your device

The free experience relies on browser storage (localStorage) rather than an account — your to-cook list, checked-off items, and language/view preferences live on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

4. Third parties

YouTube — recipe videos are embedded from YouTube; playing one is subject to YouTube's own privacy policy.
Payment provider (Premium, arriving with online payments) — card details are handled by the provider, not stored by us.
Analytics — anonymous and aggregate only.

5. Your choices

Unsubscribe from the newsletter any time via the link in any email; clear on-device data from your browser settings. To delete your account and its data (including accounts created with Google/Facebook sign-in), contact us from your registered email — we verify it, delete your account, plans and favorites, and confirm by reply. Same for data requests.

6. Changes

We may update this policy as the product grows (e.g. when accounts and payments go live). We'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
