dark chocolate, melted70 g
pumpkin purée (steamed and smooth)50 g

Melt the dark chocolate (about 70g) using a double boiler or microwave, then set aside to cool.

Crack eggs into a bowl, add sugar and vanilla extract, and whisk together until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the melted butter and yogurt (or crème fraîche), and mix well to combine.

Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture, and gently fold until just combined.

Divide the batter in half. Mix melted chocolate into one half, and mix steamed pumpkin purée into the other half.

Pour the pumpkin batter into a lined cake pan (about 20×8 cm), then alternate spoonfuls of chocolate batter. Level the top with a spatula.

Run the tip of a knife through the batter from top to bottom several times to create a marbled pattern.

Bake at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes, until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool completely, then unmold and slice to serve.
