1
Prep the ingredients: chop 1/4 cup of parsley, squeeze 2 tbsp of lemon juice, and mince or press 5 cloves of garlic. If serving with pasta, get a pot of salted water boiling.
2
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tbsp of butter with 2 tbsp of olive oil.
3
Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
4
Add the shrimp along with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Flip the shrimp once they start turning pink.
5
Once all the shrimp are flipped, add 1/4 cup of white wine (or stock) and 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes for some heat.
6
Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 3 minutes until the liquid reduces by half and the shrimp are cooked through. If making pasta, toss the cooked pasta in now.
7
Remove the pan from heat, then stir in the chopped parsley, the remaining 2 tbsp of butter, and the lemon juice until combined.
8
Serve immediately over pasta or with crusty bread. Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days—reheat gently on low heat.
