Cut the watermelon in half lengthwise using a sharp knife.

Scoop out the watermelon flesh with a large spoon and transfer it to a blender or food processor. Remove any seeds if using a non-seedless watermelon. Pour any juice from the bottom of the watermelon into the blender as well.

Squeeze the juice from half a lime into the blender.

Blend the watermelon until it becomes completely liquefied and fully pulverized.

Taste the juice and adjust sweetness as needed. Mix in 2 tablespoons of simple syrup to balance the flavor, even if the watermelon is naturally sweet. Alternatively, add simple syrup to individual glasses later.

Pour the watermelon juice into a glass filled with ice cubes. Optionally garnish with a lime slice and mint leaves. Serve immediately.
