Steps
1
In a bowl, combine yogurt, salt, sugar, and baking powder, and whisk until the sugar dissolves.
2
Add the oil and mix well, then let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes to activate the baking powder.
3
In a large bowl, add the whole wheat flour and pour in the yogurt mixture. Mix with your hands into a slightly sticky dough, adding a bit of water if needed.
4
Oil your hands lightly and knead the dough firmly for 10-15 minutes until smooth and soft.
5
Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes; it will rise slightly.
6
Divide the dough into 2 or 4 portions depending on desired pizza size. Roll each into a round base about 1 cm thick, pinch the edges slightly thicker to form a crust, and poke holes in the center with a fork to prevent puffing.
7
Lightly oil a pan, place the pizza base in it, cover, and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
8
Flip the base, cover again, and cook for another 5-10 minutes until both sides are cooked, then turn off the heat.
9
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base, add mozzarella cheese, and arrange chopped onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, or other desired toppings.
10
Sprinkle extra cheese, chili flakes, oregano, and mixed herbs on top.
11
Turn the heat back on low, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts and toppings are cooked.
12
Remove from heat, slice, and serve the hot homemade pizza.
