Whisk together one egg with the sugar, salt, yeast, peanut oil, and lard until everything is well combined.
2
Add the all-purpose flour and knead for approximately 3 minutes until the dough becomes smooth.
3
Let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
4
Roll the dough out into a sheet approximately half a centimeter thick.
5
Use cookie cutters or decorative wooden moulds to create patterns and shapes. If using wooden moulds, oil them first, then gently press and tap the dough-filled mould to release the patterned pastry.
6
If you don't have moulds or cutters, roll the dough thin and cut it by hand into various shapes such as diamonds or triangles.
7
Place the shaped pastries into a preheated 220°C oven and bake for approximately 7 minutes (for pastries about 5 cm in diameter). Adjust baking time according to your pastry size.
8
Remove from the oven when golden and let cool. Serve alongside tea, nuts, and fresh or candied fruits for the best experience.
