1
Sift the small dried anchovies through a coarse mesh strainer to remove dust.
2
Mince one large clove of garlic; it removes fishy smell and pairs well with anchovies.
3
Heat a pan on medium heat and add one tablespoon of vegetable oil.
4
Add the minced garlic and stir-fry to release its aroma.
5
Add the sifted anchovies and keep stir-frying.
6
Add half a cup of roasted peanuts and continue stir-frying for about two minutes until the peanuts turn light brown and the anchovies are golden brown.
7
Prepare the sauce by mixing one teaspoon soy sauce, one teaspoon water, one tablespoon brown sugar, and one teaspoon rice syrup (optional); stir well.
8
Turn off the heat when the peanuts turn light brown, push the mixture to the side of the pan, and pour the prepared sauce into the hot pan.
9
Mix everything together well.
10
Add one teaspoon of sesame oil and mix until well combined.
11
Once cooled, sprinkle with one teaspoon of sesame seeds, transfer to an airtight container, and store in the refrigerator.
