A quirky experimental recipe that uses a dishwasher's hot water and steam cycle to "cook" lasagna sealed inside foil. More of a fun kitchen experiment than a guaranteed delicious meal.

Ingredients

Lasagna pasta sheets~1 lbest.
Pasta sauce~24 ozest.
Cheese~2-3 cupsest.
Heavy-duty aluminum foilUsed to wrap and seal the ingredients~2-3 sheetsest.

Steps

Lay out a large sheet of heavy-duty foil and layer pasta sheets, sauce, and cheese directly on top.

Repeat the layering process—pasta, sauce, cheese—to build up multiple layers of lasagna.

Wrap the foil tightly around the layers, making sure it's completely sealed so no water can get in.

Place the sealed foil packet on the bottom rack of the dishwasher.

Start the dishwasher on a normal cycle with the sanitize setting selected for extra heat.

Let the dishwasher run through its full cycle; the hot water and steam will gradually cook the lasagna through the foil.

Once the cycle finishes, remove the foil packet, unwrap it, and enjoy your dishwasher-cooked lasagna.
