A simple homemade eggnog punch inspired by the film "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation". This festive holiday drink uses just a few ingredients and is perfect for cold winter seasons. First prepare a rich eggnog liqueur, then blend it with juice and white wine to create a fragrant punch that brings holiday cheer.

Gently flatten the vanilla bean with a knife back, carefully split it along one side, and scrape out the vanilla seeds with the knife back. Mix the seeds with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Reserve the vanilla pod shell for making vanilla sugar later.

Beat the egg yolks with the sugar mixture until light in color and fluffy.

Over a simmering water bath, add the condensed milk to the egg mixture and stir while heating until creamy and the whisk marks are clearly visible—approximately 3–4 minutes. Be careful not to let it boil, or it will turn into scrambled eggs.

Stir the rum into the egg mixture until smooth to make the eggnog liqueur.

In the same pot, combine the orange juice and sweet white wine. Gently warm over low heat (do not boil), then pour in the eggnog liqueur and stir well. Ensure the entire mixture is warm but not boiling.
