   Fluff the warm rice gently. Add salt and sesame oil, then mix gently without crushing the grains until the seasoning is evenly absorbed. Let the rice cool.

   Trim the English cucumber and remove the seeds. Cut it lengthwise into 8 sticks, removing the soft inner seed-filled parts to keep only the crisp edges.

   Beat 4 eggs with salt and strain to remove any stringy parts. Heat a pan over medium-low heat, coat with 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil, add the egg mixture, and cook about 5 minutes while controlling the heat for even thickness. Flip and finish cooking with residual heat. Slice into half-inch wide strips.

   Quick-cook the crab sticks on a preheated medium-heat pan, red side up, with about 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil for about 1 minute until lightly browned.

   Prepare the danmuji (pickled radish). Use pre-cut pieces (2 per roll) and pat dry with paper towels.

   Ensure your cutting board is clean and dry. Place a toasted seaweed sheet shiny-side down on the board.

   Rub a little sesame oil in your palms, shape about 1 cup of rice into a ball, place it on the lower-center part of the seaweed, and press it out evenly to the edges, leaving about 2 inches empty at the top.

   Arrange the fillings on the rice: egg strips, crab sticks, danmuji, cucumber sticks, and green onion if using.

   Gently roll up the seaweed so the rice is on the outside, squeezing lightly as you go to shape the roll. Place on the board and repeat with the remaining 3 sheets.

    After the rolls cool, wipe the knife blade with a damp towel and slice each roll into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle with toasted black sesame seeds for garnish.
