   Prepare 5 clean cucumbers and trim off both ends.

   Get a ziplock bag and place the cucumbers inside, cutting them in half lengthwise if needed to fit.

   Add 100 ml of coarse salt and 150 ml of sugar into the bag.

   Add one can of zero-calorie soda—the carbonation stimulates the cucumber's surface and cell walls, accelerating fermentation and moisture release.

   Squeeze out as much air as possible from the bag and seal it tightly. Place the bag on a plate as a precaution and leave it at room temperature.

   Flip the bag occasionally during fermentation. After 2–3 days (depending on room temperature), the cucumbers will turn yellowish and be fully pickled.
