1
Preheat your oven to 450°F.
2
In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon zest, and dried oregano. Crush the dried herbs between your fingertips to release their flavor. Mix in 1/4 cup of olive oil until the mixture resembles wet sand.
3
Lightly coat the bottom of a shallow Dutch oven or large skillet with olive oil. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer, making sure they are not stacked on top of each other.
4
Drizzle a little olive oil over the shrimp and season with a pinch of salt. Add a pinch of hot pepper flakes if desired.
5
Scatter the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp.
6
Slice the unsalted butter thinly and break it up over the top of the breadcrumb mixture.
7
Place the shrimp in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes until the topping is golden brown. If needed for more color, turn on the broiler for about 1 minute, but watch closely as it can burn quickly.
8
Remove from the oven, scatter fresh parsley over the top, squeeze lemon wedges over it, and serve with additional lemon wedges on the side.
