Shrimp Wonton Soup

   Prepare the green onions: finely chop the onions for the wonton filling. Julienne the white part of the onions for the soup and soak in cold water for 5-10 minutes. Finely chop the inner part and combine with the wonton onions.

   Prepare the shrimp: peel off the shells and remove the vein. Place shrimp in a bowl with cornstarch and water, rub thoroughly for about 30 seconds to remove impurities and odor, rinse with clean water, pat dry with paper towels, and chop coarsely.

   Prepare the wonton filling: combine ground pork, sugar, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil, knead well, then gently fold in the chopped green onions, shrimp, and cornstarch until evenly mixed.

   Wrap the wontons: place about one teaspoon of filling on each wonton wrapper, wet the edges with water, fold into a triangle, and press firmly to seal with no air pockets. Repeat until all filling is used (approximately 30 wontons).

   Prepare the soup: add water, chicken stock powder, and soy sauce to a pot and bring to a boil over high heat.

   Cook the wontons: once the soup is boiling, carefully add the wontons and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the meat and shrimp are fully cooked.
