1
Place a tablespoon of Nutella on parchment paper, spread slightly, and freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
2
Combine sugar, vanilla powder, and softened butter in a bowl, whisking until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
3
Beat in the egg, add a pinch of salt for flavor enhancement, and continue whisking until well combined.
4
Sift in the flour and fold together, ensuring there are no lumps. Optionally, you can substitute some flour with cornstarch.
5
Add baking powder and continue folding with a spatula until no flour is visible.
6
Fold in the dark chocolate chips. You may use milk chocolate or a mix of varieties if preferred.
7
Remove the frozen Nutella rounds from the freezer. Divide the dough into 4 portions for large cookies or 8 for regular-sized cookies, adjusting as desired.
8
Flatten the dough, place a Nutella round in the center, wrap the dough around it, flatten slightly, and place on parchment paper with adequate spacing between cookies as they will spread during baking.
9
Bake at 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes, being careful not to overbake to ensure the cookies remain tender and melt in the mouth.
