   Boil the macaroni in salted water for 1 minute longer than the package instructions.

   Slice the cucumber thinly, place in a plastic bag, add salt and mix. Let sit for 5–10 minutes.

   Peel the carrot, cut into 3–4 cm lengths, then slice into 1 cm-thick sticks.

   Cut the ham in half, then stack and slice into 1 cm-wide strips.
