Steps
1
Toast the sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds together over low heat, keeping the flame low to avoid burning, until they start popping and releasing a nice aroma, similar to how sesame seeds pop when roasted.
2
Let the toasted seeds cool completely, then grind them into a fine powder. This powder can also be eaten on its own—about one tablespoon per serving.
3
Blend the black raisins in the grinder, adjusting the texture and sweetness to your preference, until it forms a paste.
4
Transfer the blended raisin paste into a wide mixing bowl.
5
Take about 1.5 cups of pitted dates and blend them into a smooth paste as well.
6
Combine the date paste, raisin paste, and the toasted seed powder together, mixing thoroughly.
7
Shape the mixture into small round balls (laddus). Store them in an airtight container and enjoy one ball daily.
