The beef is smashed between parchment paper using a tortilla press into paper-thin sheets, quickly cooked on a flat-top griddle, layered with thinly sliced American cheese, and assembled with a special sauce and crispy bun. Total cooking time under one minute.

Make the sauce by combining mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili flake, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix well.

Using a cheese slicer, cut the American cheese into very thin slices—thinner than the beef patties. Prepare plenty of slices in advance as there won't be time to slice during cooking.

Oil both sides of parchment paper lightly. Place 1.5 oz of ground beef on the bottom sheet, positioned slightly toward the upper third. Cover with the top sheet of parchment.

Using a tortilla press, apply firm downward pressure to flatten the beef into a paper-thin patty. Repeat this process to create four patties total.

Toast the burger bun cut-side down on a griddle or skillet until golden. Spread mayo on the toasted side.

Place all four beef patties onto a hot flat-top griddle or skillet in sequence. Cook for about 30 seconds.

Quickly season the patties. Flip them, then immediately place cheese slices on top of each patty, stacking them layer by layer.

Stack the cheese on top of the patties. Let sit for about 10 seconds so the cheese melts—the top patties will melt the cheese above them while the bottom layer melts from the heat underneath.

Transfer the stacked cheesy patties to the bun. Spread Maxie sauce on the bottom bun, place the stack of four patties on top, and cap with the top bun.
