In a bowl, combine wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
2
Add yogurt and ghee, then knead the mixture until well combined.
3
Gradually add water and knead to form a smooth, soft dough.
4
In a separate pan, combine sugar and water over medium-low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Keep the syrup on medium-low heat to avoid cooking too quickly.
5
Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a ball.
6
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Carefully place the dough balls into the hot oil one at a time. They will puff up and expand. Maintain medium heat throughout for even cooking.
7
Fry until one side turns golden brown, then carefully flip the ball and fry the other side until it is also golden brown. Keep the temperature consistent throughout.
8
Remove the fried balls from the oil using a slotted spoon and place on a plate to drain.
9
Immediately dip the hot fried balls into the hot sugar syrup, allowing them to absorb the sweetness.
10
Place the balls on a plate and let them cool for 10 to 25 minutes until the syrup hardens, creating a crispy coating.
11
Once cooled, transfer the badusa to a serving container. The sweet is now ready to serve and enjoy.
