Ingredients

turmeric powder20 g
cumin powder10 g
chili powder4 g
star anise powder2 g
licorice root powder2 g
ginger powder1 g
cinnamon powder1 g
white pepper powder1 g
clove powder1 g
dried tangerine peel powderor orange peel powder or lemongrass powder2 g
vegetable or peanut oil8 tbsp

Steps

Heat the 8 tablespoons of oil in a pan until it reaches the smoke point (approximately 220°C).

Turn off the heat and allow the oil to cool to approximately 150°C.

Add all the spice powders to the warm oil and mix well to combine.

Allow the mixture to cool completely, about 30 minutes, then transfer to a jar for storage.
