1
Prepare the ingredients: remove the tofu from packaging. Separate the white and green parts of the green onions. Chop the garlic cloves roughly. Cut half a serrano pepper and have the frozen Thai chili peppers ready.
2
Slice the tofu into approximately 1-inch thick square pieces.
3
Press the tofu slices with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
4
Mix corn starch, salt, and black pepper in a shallow bowl. Coat the tofu pieces evenly with this mixture.
5
Heat a pan over high heat and add oil. Once hot, add the tofu slices and pan-fry for about 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
6
Remove the first batch of tofu and add a little more oil. Cook the second batch of tofu slices in the same manner until golden.
7
Turn the heat to medium and add a little oil. Sauté the white parts of the green onions, garlic, serrano pepper, and Thai chili peppers for about 1 minute until fragrant.
8
Return all the cooked tofu to the pan and toss gently to combine. Finish by sprinkling with the green parts of the green onions.
